Connected Systems is seeking a Quoting Engineer or Cost Estimator for a perm/direct hire opportunity in the Chelmsford, MA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs to prepare accurate cost estimates for cable, harness, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Identify required components, materials, and processes for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and feasible quotes.
• Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and provide timely responses.
• Manage quoting activities using an ERP system.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quoting processes.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of quoting or estimating experience in contract manufacturing, specializing in cable assemblies, wire harnesses, or electromechanical products.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, connectors, wire specifications, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards a plus.
• Experience with ERP and quoting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
