Maintenance Mechanic II
2nd Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:15 AM (2-2-3 Schedule)
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic II is a key member of the maintenance team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro-mechanical systems, including electronic controls, conveyor systems, production machinery, and related support equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
MA Fireman 2 License and/or Ammonia Operator 1 Certification preferred but not required.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP/GMP standards and practices.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a team-oriented mindset when working alongside technicians and skilled trades professionals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of mechanical and electrical systems using technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and longevity.
Identify and repair defective or worn components to maintain uninterrupted production operations.
Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanic I team members to support shift goals and project completion.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
