Assistant Operations Manager (Direct Hire) – Extrusion Manufacturing

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibility required)

Location : Brockton, MA

About the Role
We are a small, family-owned extrusion manufacturer seeking a hands-on Assistant Operations Manager with a strong manufacturing background , ideally in extrusion. This role is critical to daily operations and requires someone who can move seamlessly between the production floor and administrative responsibilities.

You’ll partner closely with leadership and play a key role in driving production efficiency, coordinating workflows, and supporting team performance .

Key Responsibilities

• Support and oversee daily extrusion production operations
• Assist with production scheduling and MRP system management
• Coordinate materials, manpower, and workflow to meet production targets
• Troubleshoot and support extrusion equipment and processes
• Work directly on the floor to assist operators and ensure smooth operations
• Communicate across departments to resolve issues and improve efficiency
• Help maintain a safe, productive, and team-oriented environment
• Step into multiple roles as needed to keep operations running

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience required (extrusion strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated job stability and solid work history
• Experience with MRP systems and production scheduling
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proven ability to work both hands-on and in a leadership support role
• Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
