We are seeking an experienced Ground Transportation Manager in Andover, MA to lead our team of coordinators responsible for the logistics of transporting transplant organs. The role requires a proactive and dedicated individual who can manage a team, ensure seamless operations around the clock, and maintain the highest standards of reliability and safety in transportation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of ground transportation logistics for transplant organ delivery.
- Manage and lead a team of Ground Transportation Coordinators, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for transportation coordination and ensure adherence to these protocols.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party transportation providers, negotiate contracts, and manage provider performance.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
- Monitor transportation costs and work on optimizing routes and resources to reduce expenses.
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and timely transport process.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on transportation activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Be available to respond to off-hour emergencies and provide guidance to coordinators during critical operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in healthcare or sensitive cargo transport.
- Thanks 4/3/3/4 rotating schedule of day and nights
· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing shift-based teams.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management software, GPS tracking, and route optimization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make decisions quickly.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours when required and be on call for emergencies.

- Advanced understanding of the medical logistics and transportation regulations.
- Experience in crisis management and emergency response planning.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primarily based in the command center with requirements to visit various transportation hubs or facilities as needed.
- Must be able to respond to situations during off-hours and provide oversight to a team working around the clock.
- Flexibility to cover or respond during 24/7 operations as needed.
