Immediate full time opening for an onsite, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to fill an existing

position with a construction company specializing in heavy/highway work.

This growing company is located north of Boston

About the Role:

This opportunity requires a confident, competent accounting individual. We are looking for a

skilled communicator adept at working with the various levels of personnel possessing strong

analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem solving within a small team environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing accounting operations and special projects as needed. This

position reports directly to the owners.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Essential Functions:

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures.

• Experience in financial statements and transactions

• Act as a liaison with our CPA firm

• Experienced in AP, AR, and PR

• Daily Cash and G/L reconciliations

• Cost accounting and budget analysis including job and budget set up

• A/R billing, SOV setup, monthly requisitions

• WIP analysis

• AP invoice entry, weekly check runs, vendor communication, statement reconciliations

• Oversee Company Insurances

• Review accuracy of weekly Payroll completed by payroll clerk

• Provide process analysis and recommend initiatives and improvements

• Creates, maintains and advises on Accounting’s Policies & Procedures and facilitates the

process of documentation

• Proficient with fully integrated accounting systems

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• 5+ years accounting experience

• Construction industry background preferred

• Self-motivated, team player with experience achieving common objectives

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communications a must

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
