Section Leader, MRI
About the Role
As the Section Leader of MRI, you’ll play a key leadership role within Emerson Health, overseeing daily MRI operations across multiple sites and driving the strategic growth of one of our most essential imaging services. Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, you’ll partner closely with the Medical Director, technologists, and hospital teams to elevate patient care, optimize workflows, and support organizational goals.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage MRI services across several Emerson Health locations.
- Provide strategic direction and contribute to long-term service development.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and operational leaders to enhance patient care, quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for MRI staff, fostering growth, engagement, and teamwork.
- Ensure the highest standards of compliance, performance, and patient experience.
What You Bring
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology oran approved MRI program accredited by ARRT.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Business, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration.
Experience
- Required: 5 years of MRI experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in MRI.
Licensure & Certifications
- ARRT(MR) or MRI certification required (or obtained within 1 year of hire).
- ARMRIT accepted in lieu of ARRT(MR).
- BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required.
Skills
- Proficiency with IV skills and advanced MRI technologies.
- Computer proficiency, including PACS, HIS/RIS, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and multi-site management abilities.
- Strong analytical, administrative, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven leadership in strategic planning and service development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly in English.
