CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a Senior Accountant .

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to serve as the sole accounting professional within a growing, private equity-backed technology hardware manufacturing and distribution business.

This role requires a highly self-sufficient individual who can independently all aspects of accounting, from day-to-day transactional activities through month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal oversight in a standalone capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance
• Own the month-end close process from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare and maintain trial balances and financial statements
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including AP/AR
• Maintain accurate records of inventory-related transactions and assist with reconciliation of inventory balances
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions accurately and timely
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards
• Prepare internal financial reports for leadership and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Ability to manage the entire accounting function independently
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail

Preferred

• CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• Exposure to IFRS standards
• Experience with intercompany accounting
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based environment
• Experience with NetSuite
