Accounting and operations associate
Our client is a successful and growing Alternative Asset Manager in Boston and they are seeking a 2-5+ year corporate accounting and operations professional to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Treasury Operations
- Manage daily cash activity across multiple bank accounts and reconcile balances with the general ledger
- Prepare and verify loan and lease funding payments, including wires and ACHs
- Coordinate transaction documentation and booking into the system of record
- Communicate with internal teams and external banking partners, service providers, and investors
- Support monthly close for management entities, investment vehicles, and holding companies
- Assist with preparation of financial reporting packages and management reports
- Process accounts payable, invoices, and employee expense reimbursements
- Prepare and organize audit materials related to portfolio activity, revenue recognition, and lease accounting (ASC 842)
- Support responses to auditor inquiries and maintain internal control documentation
- 2–5+ years of experience in accounting, operations, or finance within financial services
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (journal entries, debits/credits)
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with general ledger systems (e.g., Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage Intacct)
