Technical Sales Advisor
Our rural growing rural Leominster based client is seeking a full time, permanent Technical Sales Advisor to join their friendly and knowledgeable team on a full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending and selling appropriate components and systems to customers, providing a friendly troubleshooting service should problems arise.
What you can expect
- Salary: up to £38,000, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm or 08.30am – 4.30pm with a 30minute lunch break
- 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing after 2 years’ service by 1 additional day per year, up to a maximum of 5 additional days)
- NEST pension scheme
- Discretionary bonus based on company performance
What you will be doing:
- Maintain contact with new and existing customers via email, telephone, and visits
- Recommend and sell appropriate components and systems to meet customer needs
- Interpret drawings and sketches, sizing and specifying systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot component and system problems to offer solutions
- Process sales orders, maintains accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities within the internal CRM system
- Deal with customer enquiries and liaise closely with the team to reach a positive resolution
- Generate new sales opportunities
- Keep up to date with industry developments and new products
- Attend trade shows and events to represent the company and promote products
What we are looking for:
- Working knowledge and understanding of electrical systems or the renewable energy industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly collaborative and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Willingness to travel on occasion to meet with clients and attend trade show
