Fund Accountant

The Fund Accountant is responsible for specialized accounting support of commingled investment portfolios within the business line. Leveraging our fund accounting technology, Fund Accountants will complete one or more key aspects of net asset value execution including; transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, cash, and special handling, as well as break identification and resolution. Fund Accountants ensure daily accounting deliverables are timely and accurate. New grads encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for derivative valuation inquiries
• Verify information, escalate issues as needed, and manage daily volume
• Ensure daily output adheres to departmental quality and timeliness standards
• Assist in meeting team deadlines and requirements
• Manage daily production reporting and resolve issues as they arise
• Communicate professionally with internal teams to address and resolve open inquiries
• Contribute to management reporting, including Clarity, PVC’s, cash breaks, and R&A analysis
• Collaborate on process improvement activities to enhance team productivity
• Develop an understanding of how specific functions impact the firm’s broader objectives
• Follow up on open breaks and provide constructive communication for issue resolution
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, even under tight deadlines or resource constraints

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business preferred) or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work US holidays and overtime as needed

Preferred Experience:

• Entry-level candidates are welcome (recent graduates)
• Any previous experience in accounting, finance, or data analysis is a plus
