Position Summary:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Marketing supports the strategic direction and daily operations of the Marketing Department while serving as a key leadership partner to the Vice President of Marketing. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, execution, and analysis of the Credit Union’s marketing initiatives, including digital and traditional marketing, brand management, member communications, business development support, and market research.
The AVP, Marketing provides leadership and oversight for department staff, workflows, campaigns, and vendor relationships while ensuring marketing efforts align with the Credit Union’s strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and brand standards. This role supports the development and implementation of short- and long-term marketing strategies designed to increase member engagement, promote products and services, enhance brand awareness, and support organizational growth.
The AVP, Marketing, is expected to foster a collaborative, innovative team environment while contributing to operational efficiency, campaign effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Job Requirements:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of five (5) years of marketing and communications experience required, preferably within a credit union, bank, or financial services environment. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory, project leadership, or management experience required. Experience in digital marketing, campaign analytics, brand management, and strategic planning preferred.
