Overview

Reporting to the Pressroom Manager, the Pressroom Material Handler supplies press operators with material and support to ensure uninterrupted press operation. All shifts

Responsibilities

• Stage paper stock and insure correct type and thickness
• Aerate paper loads as required
• Gather ink, job and plate requirements for upcoming jobs
• Remove printed loads from delivery
• Prepare printing plates for upcoming jobs
• Assist with press wash ups and job changeovers
• Adhere to all ISO / SQF / HACCP personnel GMP practices, conduct and safety policies.

Position Coverage

In the absence of Pressroom Material Handler due to illness, vacation, appointments or injury, the Pressroom Manager assigns an alternate Pressroom Material Handler to perform the above listed position responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) or manufacturing experience
• Ability to physically move full pallet loads of printed sheets
• Ability to understand and take direction
• Good communication skills
• Technical knowledge to advance in pressroom opportunities
