Job Description

Title: Data Warehouse Specialist I

Location: BOSTON, MA

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

• Logical data model adaptation – using skills including Erwin, Business Analysis, Data modeling

• Reconcile logical model with data

• Model the physical data models

• Data profiling – Information analyzer/Excel preferred

Data Analysis, Modeling and Design

• Make key physical design decisions which will impact how the data is distributed in client’s environment.

• Enable Data Views via Physical/Virtual marts or via other presentation tools.

• Maintain metadata within the metadata management tool.

Activities

• Hadoop cluster configuration using Hadoop big data architecture

• Data ingestion/curation using Pig, Hive, Sqoop or other Hadoop tools

• Orchestrate data workflows

• Build security and audit controls using Hadoop ecosystem

• Performance tuning of Hadoop ecosystem

Qualifications

Preferred level of experience

• 3+ years experience in Hadoop (including Azure HD Insight technology stack), DBA, Visualization areas.

• 5+ Years experience in Data Architecture including Big Data and Large Scale Data Warehousing.
