OR Tech Job Details – Boston Healthcare Jobs

• Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (potential extension for travel healthcare professionals)
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, Day/Evening rotation (7am start for days; 9am or 11am for evenings)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend as needed; no major holidays; 1 call shift per schedule period
• Setting: 22-room, 24/7 staffed OR in a Level 1 trauma center
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070 per week

Operating Room Technician Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgery experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist
• Level 1 trauma experience required (Boston trauma center jobs)
• Competency in at least 5 of the following surgical services: general, gynecology, genitourinary, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, spine
• NBSTSA certification required (Certified Surgical Technologist – CST)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
• Willingness to float to other OR campuses as needed

• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Support surgeons and nurses in a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room environment
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety protocols
• Participate in call shifts and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the OR
• Communicate effectively with surgical team members and other hospital departments
