Director of Revenue Operations (Remote US)

Directive
Boston, MA

Directive Consulting is the leading B2B performance marketing agency that delivers real revenue—not just leads.

We use Customer Generation (a marketing methodology developed by us) to cut through the noise. Forget MQLs—we’re here to drive pipeline, fuel SQLs, and scale brands that are serious about growth. From Paid Media and SEO to CRO, RevOps, and Go-To-Market Strategy, we build marketing engines that win in SaaS and across B2B industries.

We move fast. We think boldly. We are elite. We hire people who challenge the status quo and push campaigns past what’s expected - sparking demand for bold, innovative brands. If you live for performance, love solving hard problems, and want your work to actually mean something, you’ll fit right in.

But here’s the fun part—we don’t just deliver results; we’re shaping the future of marketing. Ready to build something that breaks the mold?

About The Role:

We are seeking a Director of Revenue Operations & Strategy to lead the SalesOps leg of our RevOps department. You are the hybrid of a technical architect and a consultative strategist - someone who can command a room of C-suite stakeholders one hour and dive into complex routing logic or CRM consolidations the next. This is a "player-coach" role designed for a high-EQ operator who wants to own a department, build a team, and execute six-figure enterprise migrations.

What You Offer:

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in Salesforce (Sales/Service Cloud) and enterprise-level SalesTech stacks. You understand that the "real money" is in solving complex, multi-instance challenges for global B2B companies.

  • Consultative Presence: The people skills to lead $100k–$250k+ project pitches and the strategic depth to ensure those clients see immediate, measurable ROI.

  • Architect’s Mindset: Experience in complex migrations, data modeling, and GTM labeling/naming conventions for consolidated global brands.

  • Operational Discipline: You don't just "do things"; you articulate impact. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and move against a clear project roadmap.

  • Leadership Ambition: A desire to move from "Player" to "Coach" as you grow the book of business to a scale that requires hiring and mentoring a dedicated SalesOps team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Architect & Execute: Lead the technical discovery and implementation of high-value SalesOps projects, including CRM migrations, lead routing frameworks, and sales qualification methodologies.

  • Strategic Advising: Serve as the primary point of contact for CROs and VPs of Sales, translating technical infrastructure into revenue-impacting outcomes.

  • Department Building: Partner with the Operations and Growth leaders to define our SalesOps "point of view," developing the frameworks and deliverables that define our service offering.

  • Account Growth: Identify "white space" within our existing portfolio to cross-sell and upsell complex RevOps engagements.

  • Project Oversight: Manage project milestones and deadlines with extreme rigor, ensuring work quality meets our high standards for enterprise delivery.

  • Team Mentorship: Initially, act as an individual contributor, with the explicit goal of hiring and managing a pod of SalesOps Strategists as the department scales.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Revenue Growth: You successfully win and execute six-figure RevOps projects, significantly increasing the average deal size of the department.

  • Authority: Our internal teams and clients view you as the definitive expert on GTM strategy and Salesforce architecture.

  • Retention: Clients experience improved data accuracy and pipeline efficiency, reflected in high NPS and long-term contract renewals.

  • Scale: Within your first year, you have grown the SalesOps book of business to a point where you are actively hiring and managing your own backfills.
