Contract Position | 20 Hours/Week | School Hours

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a highly respected specialized school in Brookline, MA to support 1:1 nursing services for the remainder of the school year. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide individualized care for a student with complex medical needs. This is a great opportunity to work within a well-supported educational setting that serves students with cognitive impairments, alongside a strong and collaborative nursing team.

Position Overview

As the 1:1 school-based LPN, you will provide direct care to a 15-year-old male student who uses a wheelchair and has the following medical needs: G-tube, oxygen support, and seizure management (including a defined seizure response plan). You will receive strong support from an on-site clinical team, including 10 other 1:1 nurses and 3 general school nurses, as well as parent-provided training at the school.

This role includes both AM and PM transportation with the student from South Brookline to the BC Campus, with additional time built into the PM route for drop-off.

Location: Brookline, MA Start Date: 02/10/2025Contract Length: 30 WeeksSchedule:

• Monday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

• Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Hours: ~20 hours/week

Transportation: AM bus run included; PM run includes additional 30 minutes

Pay Rate: Up to $47/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a medically complex student

• Manage G-tube feeding, oxygen support, seizure precautions, and response plan

• Ride with student on AM/PM transportation between home and school

• Support the student throughout the school day within the BC Campus program

• Collaborate closely with a robust team of 1:1 and general school nurses

• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow the student's care plan

• Ensure a safe, supportive environment tailored to the student's needs

Qualifications

• Active MA LPN License

• Experience with G-tubes, oxygen, and seizures strongly preferred

• Pediatric, 1:1, or school-based experience a plus

• Compassionate, reliable, and comfortable working independently within a strong team setting
