Senior Payroll Specialist POST NUMBER: 465881
Vaco by Highspring has partnered with a reputable industrial manufacturer and they are looking to add a Sr. Payroll Specialist to their team.
Key Responsibilities
· Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
· Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
· Administer payroll changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay adjustments
· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and labor laws
· Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and payroll-related accounts
· Coordinate payroll tax filings, W-2s, and year-end reporting
· Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, and 401(k) contributions
· Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
· Support internal and external audits related to payroll
· Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and process improvements
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
· 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
· Experience with multi-state payroll and complex pay structures (hourly, salaried, union, overtime)
· Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
· Proficiency with payroll systems and Excel
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
