Physician
A growing nursing home program in Massachusetts is seeking physician for locum tenens coverage. This is a short-term assignment providing care across multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities.
Assignment Details:
Specialty: Geriatrics / Family Medicine / Internal Medicine
Coverage: Full-time locum (or 2 providers sharing FTE)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Call: No call required
Practice Setting & Patient Population:
Nursing home / post-acute care facilities in Massachusetts
Mix of short-term rehab and long-term care patients
Average patient volume: 6 8 per day, including new admissions and follow-ups
Clinical Responsibilities:
Conduct new patient admissions and follow-up visits
Evaluate and manage geriatric and chronic conditions
Coordinate care with on-site Nurse Practitioners and nursing staff
Complete orders and documentation in EMR (Epic and PointClickCare)
Support Staff:
On-site NPs at each facility handling nursing calls, orders, and medication refills
Nursing and administrative support staff
Requirements:
Active Massachusetts medical license
Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
BLS certification
Flu and COVID vaccinations required
EMR / Systems:
Epic and PointClickCare (training required prior to start)
