Bilingual Optometry Office Manager
:
Hampden Youth Vision is seeking an experienced Office Manager for a primarily pediatric optometry office.
This office shares a patient base with a long time dental office so the manager must work with that office effectively.
Ideal Optometry Office Manager History:
- Experience in optometry - management or optician preferred
- Management Experience Required
- Experience with pediatric patients
- Go-getter attitude
- Grace under pressure
- Bilingual Spanish/English Required. Non-bilingual candidates will not be considered.
Optometry Office Manager Responsibilities:
- Management of optometry receptionists/technicians
- Optometry or medical background
- An understanding of state health plans
- Responsibility of maintaining the schedule to ensure no downtime
- Ability to drive sales in patient-focused culture
- Training of all new hires and the ongoing training of existing employees
- The ability to understand patient flow and adjust as necessary
- Rapid identification of problem areas and a plan to correct those issues
- Developing strong professional relationships with all doctors and upper management
- Ability to empower employees and make them feel like valuable members of a team
