Social Worker Job Details

• Location: Beverly, Massachusetts (01915) – North Shore, near Boston
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Allied Unit, Behavioral Health
• Employment Type: Travel Social Work Assignment
• Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 1/3/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120–$2,180

Social Worker Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required
• Active Massachusetts Social Work license (LCSW or LICSW) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of clinical social work experience in a behavioral health or hospital setting preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), such as EPIC, preferred
• Flu vaccine required for new staff starting 9/2; current staff must be vaccinated by 12/1 (declinations not accepted)
• Local candidates not accepted for this Massachusetts travel social work job
• Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months

Social Worker Responsibilities

• Provide individual case management and develop patient-centered treatment plans
• Utilize motivational interviewing and short-term behavioral health treatment techniques
• Conduct brief family interventions and support sessions
• Apply de-escalation and restraint management techniques in a clinical setting
• Assess and evaluate patient needs in a fast-paced hospital behavioral health environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Demonstrate flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to quality patient care
