Director, Social Media

This role sits within Real Chemistry’s Activation department and partners with creative, influencer relations, paid activation, integrated intelligence and brand strategy & business leads to develop and implement high engagement social content and channel strategies designed to drive action and make impact.
We believe in working together across disciplines to transform healthcare. This is a hybrid role, based in any US office (New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco) or remote within the US, depending on team and business needs.
What you’ll doAct as the day-to-day social media lead across multiple healthcare accounts as part of an integrated team. Advise on the planning and execution of integrated social campaigns, from multichannel content development and distribution to paid social media counsel and campaign strategy across the marketing funnel—driving awareness, consideration, organic content and engagement strategy, influencer activations, social listening, analytics and results reporting for several clients.
Nurture and maintain in-depth knowledge of social media platforms (including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Facebook) and trends to guide clients and account teams, helping Real Chemistry stay an authority in the space. Be a proactive leader with vision on the social landscape, methodologies, and cultural happenings across platforms.
Drive adoption of emerging channel and content opportunities rooted in a balance of cultural insights and quantitative audience data.
Collaborate with in-house data scientists and analysts to provide competitive social performance insights, improve results and advise future content strategy; communicate measurement opportunities to energize clients.
Build and lead all aspects of social media budgets, collaborating with internal teams and senior leaders to optimize the right mix for clients. This includes supporting scopes of work and supervising paid social budgets.
Identify new opportunities for integrated social and digital programs (including social, digital, influencer, executive social communications, creative) and develop strong partnerships with clients and account teams. Present new and organic growth opportunities to clients.
Serve as a supportive mentor to the team, recognizing when to delegate and when to own responsibilities.

Minimum 7+ years of experience, ideally in health or pharmaceutical social media with agency experience.
Experience leading social media content programs in partnership with creative and production departments.
Proficiency with a variety of social media technologies and platforms (e.g., Ads Manager, content management systems, monitoring and measurement platforms).
Understanding of FDA and FTC regulations guiding social media for biotech and pharma clients.
Familiarity with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics and collaboration with web teams on integrated media communications.
Client service experience in an agency environment.
Demonstrated ability to grow social media business with current clients and participate in occasional new business pitches.
Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
Outstanding written and oral communications and presentation skills.
Pay Range: 155,000.00-160,000.00
