HR Generalist

A mission\-driven organization in the housing and community development space is seeking an <\/span> HR Generalist <\/b> <\/span> to join its team. This role will report directly to senior HR leadership and support a small, collaborative HR team across multiple locations.
<\/p>
This position will begin at <\/span>20 hours per week through April <\/b> , with the opportunity to transition to <\/span> full\-time hours starting in May <\/b> .

Schedule & Location: <\/b>

<\/li>\n Occasional travel required to local offices (Greater Boston area)
<\/li>\n <\/ul>
Key Responsibilities <\/b>
<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n Oversee <\/span> FMLA and leave administration <\/b> , ensuring compliance and proper documentation
<\/li>\n Support and handle <\/span> employee relations matters <\/b> , providing guidance to managers and employees
<\/li>\n Partner with HR leadership on policies, processes, and HR initiatives
<\/li>\n Maintain accurate <\/span> HR records and documentation <\/b>
<\/li>\n Provide general HR support across multiple teams and locations
<\/li>\n <\/ul>
Qualifications <\/b>
<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n Strong experience with <\/span> employee relations and leave management (FMLA)<\/b>
<\/li>\n Experience in <\/span> nonprofit or community\-based organizations <\/b> <\/span> is a plus
<\/li>\n Ability to work independently in a <\/span> remote environment <\/b>
<\/li>\n Strong communication, organization, and problem\-solving skills
<\/li>\n Willingness to travel occasionally to local offices as needed
<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n
