Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled EEG Technologist / Sleep Scoring Specialist to support our R&D team in analyzing EEG data collected from a commercially available wearable device. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EEG signal interpretation and sleep staging, and be comfortable working in a research-driven environment.
This role plays a key part in validating our technology and contributing to high-quality datasets that inform product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze multi-channel EEG recordings to perform AASM-standard sleep staging (N1, N2, N3, REM, Wake)
• Identify artifacts, arousals, and relevant physiological events
• Maintain consistent scoring quality and follow internal SOPs
• Collaborate with the research team to review ambiguous epochs
• Provide summary reports and quality control notes after each scoring session
• Maintain secure data handling practices and adhere to IRB protocols

Required Experience

• Prior experience scoring sleep EEG (research or clinical)
• Strong understanding of EEG waveforms (alpha, theta, delta, spindles, K-complexes)
• Familiarity with AASM scoring guidelines
• Experience working with EEG analysis software (e.g., Polysmith, RemLogic, Profusion, MNE/YASA, or similar)
• Ability to work independently and maintain high accuracy

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• RPSGT, RST, or other sleep-tech certification
• Experience scoring naps, wearable EEG, or reduced-montage EEG
• Background in neuroscience, psychology, sleep medicine, or biomedical engineering
• Experience with EEG artifact rejection
• Comfort working with CSV/EDF files or light Python-based workflows

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Flexible, project-based hours (typically 5–10 hours per week depending on data volume)
• Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
