Women Veterans' Network (WVN) Contractor
Job Title: Veteran Outreach Contractor
Location: Boston, MA 02114 (Hybrid - minimum 3 days onsite)
Duration: 4+ Month Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday (occasional weekends for events)
Overview:
Seeking a Veteran Outreach Contractor to plan and execute outreach initiatives supporting women veterans. Working under executive guidance, this role builds partnerships, expands membership, and connects veterans with essential services and resources.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct outreach through fairs, workshops, and public events to grow membership

Partner with government and nonprofit organizations to enhance resources for women veterans

Focus outreach on healthcare, counseling, employment, education, and housing support

Coordinate monthly outreach/tabling events and assist with major annual programs and ceremonies

Manage member data updates and cleanup in designated systems

Respond to veteran inquiries with accurate information and referrals

Maintain website, email updates, newsletters, and social media presence

Research external veteran resources to enhance online content
Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of veteran programs and women veteran issues (preferred)

Ability to travel frequently (2+ days/week) with reliable transportation

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for event setup

Strong MS Office and digital platform skills
-
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
