Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the API product strategy and partner integration roadmap, aligning with company growth goals and customer needs.

  • Work directly with strategic partners (utilities, government agencies, technology vendors) to identify integration opportunities and joint value propositions.

  • Create comprehensive API documentation, SDKs, sample code, and sandbox environments that enable rapid partner adoption.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design APIs that are scalable, secure, and follow industry best practices for data sharing.

  • Coordinate with sales and customer success teams to identify and prioritize high-value integration opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements across multiple markets and jurisdictions.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of partner integrations from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on APIs, integrations, or platform products.

  • Deep technical understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys), and data formats (JSON, XML).

  • Proven experience building and managing partner ecosystems or developer communities.

  • Strong understanding of API design principles, versioning strategies, and backward compatibility.

  • Experience with API management platforms and developer portal tools.

  • Track record of successfully launching and scaling B2B integrations with enterprise customers.

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to model revenue opportunities and track API adoption metrics.

  • Outstanding written communication skills for creating technical documentation and partner materials.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with geospatial data standards and APIs (WMS, WFS, GeoJSON).

  • Knowledge of utility industry data standards and protocols (CIM, IEC 61850, ADMS integrations).

  • Familiarity with weather and climate data APIs (NOAA, weather services).
