Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Position Type: Travel Occupational Therapist (contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Rehabilitation / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Location: Methuen, Massachusetts 01844
• Start Date: September 16, 2025
• End Date: December 16, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day shifts
• Shift Length: 12-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1620–$1660

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred
• COVID-19 test required 72 hours prior to start; results needed 48 hours before start date
• Resume and license verification upon submission
• Three professional references
• Comprehensive background checks (county, federal, multi-state, sex offender, HHS/OIG, GSA, SSN trace, SAM, CORI Massachusetts)
• 1 Step PPD or Quantiferon, or proof of positive PPD and chest X-ray
• 8 hours of dementia care training

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to enhance their ability to perform daily living activities
• Develop individualized occupational therapy care plans and set measurable goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Educate and support patients and families on rehabilitation techniques
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
