Youth Programming Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW

Mediation Services of North Central MA is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through conflict resolution education. We are seeking an organized, motivated Youth Program Coordinator to support and expand youth-focused mediation programming.

This is a grant-funded, part-time position (approximately 15 hours per week) . Hours and schedule are determined by funder and partner requirements and the Executive Director, with some flexibility. This is an unbenefited role, with optional 401(k) participation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct outreach to schools and youth organizations to promote conflict resolution programs
• Coordinate and implement peer mediation programs and workshops with community partners
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, administrators, and youth partners
• Assist with recruitment, training, and support of student mediators
• Support program expansion, fundraising efforts, and grant-related activities
• Maintain program records, reports, and data for grant compliance
• Participate in meetings, community events, and ongoing program development

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma required; some college preferred
• Experience working with youth (ages 8–18); outreach or nonprofit experience a plus
• Mediation training (35–40 hours) or related experience preferred if formal mediation training has not already been completed then successful candidate will be required to attend all sessions of our basic mediation course this summer.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Massachusetts
• Comfortable with technology and flexible work environments (hybrid/in-person)
