Job Overview

Join our team at Italian Design Interiors as a Part-Time Sales & Showroom Associate, where your sense of style and passion for design will help create exceptional client experiences. This role blends client-facing sales with hands-on showroom care in one of the Boston area’s most established European furniture destinations. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist clients in the showroom, helping them explore our European furniture collections and guiding their purchasing decisions
• Build rapport with customers and provide a personalized, consultative sales experience
• Learn our product lines — including Natuzzi Italia, Cattelan Italia, Calligaris, and more — and communicate their design and value with confidence
• Maintain showroom displays to the highest visual standard: cleaning, organizing, and arranging furniture to reflect our brand aesthetic
• Assist with general showroom operations and tasks as needed, including light physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
• Support the team during busy periods, events, or special client appointments

Qualifications

• A natural sense of style and aesthetics — you notice the details and care about how things look and feel
• Knowledge of or background in interior design is a strong plus
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a genuine interest in helping people
• Prior sales or retail experience preferred; experience in a high-end or specialty environment is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
• Flexible availability — dependable and responsive when additional hours are needed
• Multilingual ability is a plus for serving our diverse clientele

Schedule

• Part-time, approximately 15–25 hours per week
• Sunday availability is required — no exceptions
• Saturday availability strongly preferred
• Additional weekday hours available; candidates must be flexible and available when needed
• Immediate opening — strong potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate

Compensation

• $20–$25 per hour depending on experience and skill set
• Commission opportunity on sales
• Opportunity to advance to full-time
