About Common Craft
Common Craft is a chef-driven restaurant in South Boston focused on disciplined execution, strong fundamentals, and thoughtful, seasonal food. The kitchen is led by Tony Messina, a James Beard Award winner.
This is a professional kitchen built on standards, consistency, and accountability.
The Role
We are hiring line cooks with real experience who can step onto a station and perform. This is not a training position for beginners. You should already understand how a professional kitchen operates and be able to execute under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Execute dishes cleanly, consistently, and on time during service
- Set up and maintain a tight, organized station
- Prep to spec with attention to detail and efficiency
- Work clean and communicate clearly throughout service
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and proper handling standards
- Support the team and keep service moving
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a professional kitchen required
- Strong knife skills and solid technical foundation
- Experience working a busy service on a dedicated station
- Ability to stay organized, clean, and composed under pressure
- Professional attitude—no ego, no excuses
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
