Tax Manager
Kforce is partnering with a premier firm to identify a skilled Tax Manager to join their expanding Tax Team. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in partnership tax, specifically within the alternative investments space, and thrives in a fast-paced environment managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. As a central member of the team, you will oversee the precision and compliance of complex tax filings while managing external partnerships. Key Responsibilities:
- Review & Compliance: Provide final sign-off on tax workpapers and returns for funds, GP, and Co-Invest entities, as well as state risk analysis and portfolio holding company returns
- Estimates & Distributions: Manage quarterly and annual tax estimate workpapers and identify tax withholding requirements to support investor distributions
- Team Oversight: Directly oversee and manage the workflow of an outsourced CPA team
- Investor Relations: Maintain accurate partner information for K-1 reporting and respond directly to investor inquiries regarding tax reporting
- Technical Analysis: Interpret legal documents (such as operating agreements) to determine tax implications for contributions, distributions, and tax allocations
- Project Management: Maintain project trackers, collect supporting documentation for filings, and lead ad hoc tax initiatives as required
- Bachelor's degree required
- CPA required
- 5-8 years of partnership tax experience, ideally with a blend of Big 4 public accounting and private industry exposure
- Detail-oriented professional with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel; Additional knowledge of individual, corporate, foreign, or state tax reporting is highly beneficial
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to multi-task and work effectively within a team
