Primary Responsibility:
- Responsible in the development, implementation and evaluation of all educational programing, assist Program Administrative on the development and implementation of program standards, while providing both direct and group supervision to program case manager. Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of all clinical services and educational groups within the program.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Licenses/Certifications:
- Master’s Degree in related field OR Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor-(LADC-I)
Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dealing with substance abuse / dependency and knowledge on co-occurring disorders with various clients.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical supervisory experience.
- Strong written and verbal skills, and ability to communicate well with individuals with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, ethnicity.
Essential Duties:
- Provide weekly clinical supervision to case managers, ensuring adherence to evidence‑based practices and agency policies.
- Review and sign off on treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries for accuracy, compliance, and clinical quality.
- Support case managers in managing complex cases, crises, and client escalations, offering clinical guidance and intervention strategies.
- Conduct regular chart audits to ensure documentation meets regulatory, licensing, and funding requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of best practices in substance use disorder treatment and recovery housing.
- Prepare for internal and external audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
- Provide onboarding, mentoring, and continuing education to case managers and residential staff.
- Facilitate or coordinate trainings on clinical documentation, trauma‑informed care, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and crisis response.
- Identify staff performance needs and create actionable improvement plans when necessary.
- Ensure clients receive individualized, holistic care through regular collaboration with medical, psychiatric, and community providers.
- Oversee referral processes to detox, outpatient programs, mental health services, housing, employment resources, and social supports.
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure streamlined service delivery.
- Guide staff in developing safety plans and managing high‑risk situations, including relapse, self‑harm risk, or behavioral disruptions.
- Monitor and review incident reports, ensuring corrective action and follow‑up.
- Participate in program leadership meetings and contribute to policy development and strategic planning.
- Assist with staff scheduling, caseload distribution, and workflow management to ensure adequate coverage and service continuity.
- Foster a positive, recovery‑oriented, trauma‑informed culture within the residential program.
- Ensure all services align with ethical guidelines and uphold client dignity, confidentiality, and rights.
- Advocate for residents’ needs within the program and in the broader community.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and client empowerment.
- Be available to take calls after hours from staff regarding clinical interventions.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. (bi-lingual preferred)
- Able to write legible reports and have basic computer skills while being knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to relate and communicate well with all people, especially people of varied backgrounds and cultures.
- Must be able to relate maturely when dealing with clients, co-workers, and community.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to climb stairs to access all areas of Catholic Charities Leominster and/or other sites within Catholic Charities Worcester County
- Must have normal range of vision and hearing, with or without correction.
Actual compensation within the pay range will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
