Direct Support Professionals Needed for Non-profit Human Services Organization

Location: Needham, MA

Pay Rate: Up to $21/hour (based on experience)

Duration: 13-week contract to start (potential for extension)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience in human services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility, etc.)

• Provide emotional support and companionship

• Support participation in community activities and social engagement

• Help individuals build independence and life skills

• Follow individualized care plans and document progress

• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in human services, caregiving, or DSP roles preferred

• Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented

• Ability to pass background check and onboarding requirements
