• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel RN)
• Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool (15 units)
• Location: Boston, MA 02215 – Experience Massachusetts nursing jobs in a city known for historic charm, top restaurants, and cultural attractions
• Assignment Duration: 15 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; includes one week of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts every 4 weeks. Rotating days/evenings/nights, every other weekend and holidays required.
• Orientation: Weekly, every Monday (except holidays)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2470–$2540

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• ACLS and BLS certification (AHA)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Basic computer navigation skills
• Teaching hospital experience and specialty area expertise preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility (no local travelers)
• Must not have worked at Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem in the last 6 months

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Float between 15 medical/surgical units: neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, oncology, transplant, and vascular specialties
• Deliver high-quality patient care with average nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
• Perform unit-specific procedures: 12-lead EKGs, lasix gtt, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring
• Administer nebulizers (ventilators managed by RT)
• Adapt quickly to new units and assignments, sometimes with short notice
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Epic EMR
