Nurse Urgent Care Team

  At LCHC Urgent Care, we focus on providing same day access to patients who are experiencing acute exacerbations to their illness.

  Our nursing staff focuses on providing patient education in many areas including:
  Diabetes, Hypertension, Hypercholesteremia, Asthma among other illnesses!
  Our Nursing staff collaborate closely with UC providers to ensure comprehensive nursing assessment is conducted which leads to increased patient and nursing satisfaction.
  We offer 36hr, 40hr and 14hr shifts which include weekends and evenings. Don’t worry, we offer a work-life balance that resembles that of a hospital setting!

In this role you will:

• Triage patients in person or by phone to determine urgency and level of care needed, establishing rapport with patient to provide professional, caring and safe environment for patient during Triage.
• Perform patient procedures, assess patient health status, and provide health education to patients/families regarding pertinent health issues, clinical conditions, treatments, recommended follow up actions and / or home care.
• Assess patient needs and provide patient care under the direction of the provider or standing order and in accordance with scope of practice.
• Provide information and direction to support the Urgent Care Team CA and Clerical Staff to maximize clinic flow, promote provider support, and meet patient needs.
• Utilize those skills to interact with patients/clients, team members and staff from other departments.

The successful applicant will offer:

• Graduate of accredited nursing program, current Mass. Licensure, BLS certification.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish /Khmer/Russian with knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous Community Health or Ambulatory Experience preferred. Experience with diverse populations a plus.
• Demonstrated IV and phlebotomy skills recommended.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or ICU setting recommended. Experience with mental/behavioral health and diverse populations is a plus.

• A desire to work as a collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team.
