Location: Boston, MA (Fully Onsite)
Pay: $26–$30/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a Collections Specialist for a reputable financial institution. This role will focus on managing delinquent loan accounts, contacting customers, and helping establish repayment solutions.
This is a fully onsite role in Boston , easily accessible via public transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers regarding delinquent loan and credit card accounts (outbound collections)
- Monitor and manage delinquent mortgage, equity, and consumer loans
- Establish repayment plans, settlements, and loan workout solutions
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve issues efficiently
- Identify financial hardship cases and gather required documentation
- Assist with loan modifications, loss mitigation, and foreclosure preparation
- Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and state/federal regulations
- Maintain accurate records and support reporting and administrative tasks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of collections experience
- Banking/financial services collections experience highly preferred
- Open to candidates with strong outbound consumer collections experience from other industries
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts
- Knowledge of loan servicing, repayment plans, or loss mitigation a plus
