Lex Dev Group is hiring a part-time Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable & Accounting Specialist.
About the role
- Manage accounts payable and billable tasks and general accounting duties for our real estate operations.
- Primarily remote with occasional in-office meetings.
- Estimated 8–12 hours per week.
- Flexible hours; availability for calls and emails preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Manage customer billing and collections.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and month-end support.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist with audits as needed.
- Coordinate with property managers and other team members on lease and tenant billing issues.
- Work with and assist other team members on insurance matters and day-to-day operational tasks.
- Help maintain the existing portfolio and assist with the growth of Lex Dev Group.
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks Desktop (required).
- Strong knowledge of real estate accounting (property-level accounting, tenant billing/receipts, CAM reconciliations preferred).
- Solid Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, able to work independently, and responsive during agreed hours.
Preferred
- Prior experience with property management or real estate firms.
- Familiarity with payroll and sales/use tax basics.
