Your Impact
- Be the project authority—know the work better than the client’s representative, keep the client informed, and educate the team.
- Deliver projects on time and under budget under the guidance of a Construction Operations Manager (COM).
- Create the construction schedule and labor plan aligned to the client’s timeframe and approved by the COM.
- Balance short- and long-term planning to sequence work effectively.
- Publish schedule updates in Procore at intervals appropriate to project duration.
- Own weekly budget oversight, including timely forecasting and change order management.
- Analyze job cost reports; escalate issues for management review as needed.
- Maintain budgets and forecast-to-complete in Procore.
- Record and track all change events and change orders in Procore.
- Source, coordinate, and procure materials to support execution.
- Partner with warehouse staff to track material/equipment deliveries.
- Coordinate with purchasing to place orders.
- Support estimating for projects going to bid; help develop estimates.
- With Estimating and the COM, ensure robust subcontractor bidding.
- Prepare RFP/bid packages and track the process.
- Select and buy out subcontractors.
- Show up ready for weekly meetings with up-to-date schedules, financials, and issue lists.
- Collaborate with the COM and General Superintendent to address in-house labor matters.
- Model inclusive, team-first leadership—win as a team.
- Run a daily field huddle (Teams or in person) so the written shift scope is clear and understood.
- Assign work appropriately to individuals.
- Provide after-hours phone support for night-shift supervisors when unforeseen issues arise.
What You Bring
- Deep knowledge of Procore Construction Software.
- Ability to read/interpret architectural and engineering plans and translate expectations clearly to the team.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting and financial projections.
- Poise under pressure.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and triage urgent issues quickly.
- Delegation discipline with diligent follow-through.
Qualifications
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with PROCORE.
- Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project).
- 5 years in construction management.
- 2 years in commercial construction.
