Full Stack Developer

The Full Stack Developer assists in designing and building both front-end and back-end solutions for Web and Mobile applications, leveraging modern frameworks and tools. This role goes beyond traditional development by delivering innovative, scalable solutions using the latest architectural approaches such as Serverless/Microservices, Containerization, Cloud Technologies, and Hybrid mobile frameworks.

This is a hybrid role that requires onsite work in our Newton, MA office 3 days a week.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on development in application development, unit testing, and rollout of web and mobile initiatives.
  • Develop both front-end and back-end for web/mobile applications, working with internal and vendor teams to support various lines of business.
  • Collaborate with Business Owners and Business Analysts to create business requirements.
  • Document technical requirements and specifications for Web/Mobile applications and provide technical solutions to support those needs.
  • Provide feedback on technical designs and methods to support business requirements.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project planning and status information to leadership/management.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized demos/presentations that are effectively tailored to the intended audience, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • 3 years backend API and front-end UI development experience
  • .Net, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript experienced required

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficient in back-end development using .NET and C#.
  • Proficient in front-end development using Angular, HTML5, SCSS/CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and unit test frameworks (Jasmine, Jest).
  • Experience with hybrid mobile development using Capacitor/Cordova.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps / GIT-based source control systems.
  • Experience with building and maintaining reusable component libraries.
  • Ability to maintain and improve existing codebases for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Apple and Google Play Store deployment processes.
  • Experience with Native iOS and Android SDKs is a plus.

The annual salary for this position is between $86,000 - $130,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
