Senior Financial Accountant

Kforce's client, a well-proven publicly-held company with a 30-year history of growth, has a need for a Senior Financial Accountant in Newton, MA. Summary: Our client is in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Portfolio Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and general ledger functions for a multitude of entities. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This is a high-impact role with built in growth potential. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-based financial reports and supporting workpapers
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; Prepare and review journal entries
• Support the preparation of SEC filings and related public disclosures
• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual procedures
• Monitor and ensure compliance with debt covenants and other financial reporting requirements
• Maintain and update cash forecasts; Monitor liquidity and funding needs
• Calculate and facilitate the payment of business management fees
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, and Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Review and code corporate payables for assigned entities
• Lead or participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by senior management
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with multi entities, or public accounting
• Proficiency with property management/accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Experience with SEC reporting tools (e.g., Workiva) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
