Irrigation Specialist / Irrigation Technician

Work Schedule
You’ll work Monday to Friday, up to 10-hour shifts (with overtime in the peak season), starting between 6:00 and 7:00 am depending on the season. Your workday is finished when the route is complete, which is around 8-10 hours, but this can vary.
We provide transportation from our shops in Falmouth to job sites. You’ll drive in a work truck or van from the shop to the job sites.
Responsibilities
Perform spring turn-ons and winterizations
Program irrigation controllers both in the field and remotely
Design and install irrigation systems, including plumbing and electrical connections
Inspect, audit, and adjust the systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water
Renovate, troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems
Meet the client on job sites
Responsibly manage jobs to budget by regularly reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs, and taking action as needed.
Maintain assigned vehicle and/or equipment in good working order.
Stock service vehicle with proper parts and tools in an organized manner
Properly complete paperwork on work performed in a timely manner
Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Interact with homeowners, property guests, clients, and the public in a friendly and polite manner
Requirements
Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial / residential irrigation systems (minimum one year experience)
Understand basic pipe sizing and irrigation design
Ability to work alone and manage your own time
Ability to use a smartphone and work apps to document hours and work completed
Attention to detail with an eye for safety hazards
Strong communication skills
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to perform physical work in various weather conditions
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds & walk long distances
Ability to crouch/kneel and work at ground level for extended periods of time
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Desired, but not required:
Formal education in irrigation systems.
Ability to operate skid-steer, loaders and mini-excavators effectively
Ability to perform backflow testing
Experience in installing and repairing landscape lighting systems
Previous experience in a customer service role
