Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Falmouth, MA 02540

Schedule: Rotating evenings (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and nights (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Compensation: Up to $2,000 weekly (for candidates outside a 50-mile radius) or up to $50/hour

Job Summary:  Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Licensed Practical Nurse for an exciting Travel and/or Local job in Falmouth, MA 02540 . 

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and long-term care guidelines.

• Meet with assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services, programs, and activities.

• Complete and file required documentation during resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Encourage physicians to review treatment plans, record/sign orders, and progress notes in line with facility policy.

• Receive and record physician telephone orders on the Physicians’ Order Form.

• Transcribe physician orders into resident charts, medication cards, and care plans as needed.

• Maintain detailed and accurate nurses’ notes reflecting resident care and responses.

• Inform staff of new admissions, expected arrival times, and room assignments.

• Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by government agencies.

• Perform nursing administrative duties per job description.

• Participate in the orientation of new residents and their families.

• Accompany physicians on rounds and provide updates on resident care.

• Review charts for treatment plans, medication orders, and dietary requirements.

• Prepare and administer medications safely, verifying resident identity prior to administration.

• Carry out all drug administration responsibilities in compliance with LPN scope of practice.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of LPN experience in a clinical or long-term care setting.

Education & Licensure:

• Graduate of an approved LPN program or accredited nursing college.

• Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license.

• Current BLS/CPR and AED certification required.
