OVERVIEW

Full-time/Permanent Employee

Location: Hybrid Remote-Hanscom AFB, MA

As a DevOps Engineer V, you will develop strategy and integration methodology around design, development and implementation of cloud-based solutions. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications. Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes. Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues. Enables the quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis and incorporation of feedback from developers/users. Considered a recognized authority within the company. Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative.

The environment supporting this role includes several key architectural priorities:

Zero Trust Architecture: Heavy emphasis on security, including Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM).

Multi-Cloud Ecosystem: Utilization of major commercial providers like Amazon (AWS), Oracle (OCI), and Microsoft (Azure).

Modernization: Shifting/migrating from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-native applications.

The proposed salary range for this position is $132,000-$152,000 . There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deploy and manage the company's cloud computing strategy, including cloud adoption plans and application design
  • Oversee application architecture and deployment in cloud environments
  • Set up all components required for successful cloud computing
  • Create cloud networks by connecting remotely located servers
  • Develop operational cloud-based delivery systems, including front- and back-end platforms
  • Establish cloud storage and computing systems while ensuring compliance with security policies
  • Lead initiatives with a cloud-first mindset, assisting customers in leveraging Oracle cloud-based architecture
  • Contribute to and drive large Oracle X-LOB deals, including Oracle IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services
  • Collaborate with local account teams and Global Client Advisors on cloud solutions
  • Lead consultative selling services, working with domain architects, sales consultants, and business analysts
  • Interact with various roles at customer organizations, including CIOs, CTOs, and technical staff
  • Articulate the case for change and lead detailed discovery analyses
  • Conduct strategy, architecture, roadmap, and planning workshops
  • Provide assessments of current state architecture and recommendations for future state architecture
  • Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions
  • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
  • Identify and forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area
  • Participate in growth efforts as requested
  • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction
  • Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meetings and Storytime (with camera on)
  • Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program
  • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
  • Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, cloud engineering, or software development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience with DevOps tools, automation, and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud 
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell 
  • Deep understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologies 
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification
  • At least one cloud certification

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Knowledge of system logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk 
  • Familiarity with security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks 
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in a collaborative DevOps environment 
  • Strong ability to mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members
