Job Description

THE PROGRAM

We're looking for students to join our Co-Op Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 6-month co-op, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our Co-Ops will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other Co-Ops and colleagues to grow your network for the future!

Fall Co-op: Candidates must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a hybrid, in-office format from July 13 through December 18, 2026. No relocation assistance is available.

Being currently authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position.

THE ROLE

The Embedded Software Co-Op will function as a fully embedded member of the Soundbar and Wi-Fi Speakers Quality Assurance team. They will participate in the same day-to-day activities as our engineers, gaining exposure to the full QA lifecycle. With mentorship and guidance from senior QA Engineers, Developers, Product Owners , Program Managers and User Experience Designers , this position provides practical experience in quality engineering for complex audio products while contributing meaningful results to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Write, review, and execute test cases across multiple products and feature areas

• Support test strategy development for upcoming features and releases

• Document and improve QA processes, with an emphasis on clarity and repeatability

• Contribute to tooling and infrastructure used for test execution and reporting

• Participate in team scrum ceremonies and align work with sprint goals

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, systems, and certification partners

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science , Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

• Strong interest in QA Engineering, embedded systems, and consumer electronics

• Basic understanding of scripting/programming (Python preferred) is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $29.00-$37.25 per hour.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
