Egan Landscape Group, a premier landscaping company based in Plymouth, Massachusetts, is seeking an Irrigation Technician to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. This role focuses on learning and applying best practices in irrigation while providing essential support to senior technicians. Key Responsibilities:

1. System Installation & Setup

• Assist with installing pipes, valves, sprinklers, and controllers under the direction of senior or lead technicians.
• Follow site plans and layouts to ensure proper placement and alignment of components.

2. Maintenance & Repair

• Perform basic troubleshooting of irrigation components, such as replacing faulty heads or repairing minor leaks.
• Conduct routine inspections, identifying issues for escalation to senior team members if needed.

3. Controller Programming

• Learn to program and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal requirements.
• Adhere to recommended watering schedules to promote efficient water usage.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow company safety protocols and industry regulations while on job sites.
• Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and maintained in good condition.

5. Team Support

• Collaborate with the Irrigation Division Manager, Lead Irrigation Technician, and other team members to achieve project goals.
• Communicate effectively about project statuses, supply needs, and any challenges encountered.

Qualifications:

1. Experience

• 12 years of experience in irrigation installation, landscaping, or a related field (or equivalent training)..

2. Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of irrigation systems, components, and layout.
• Willingness to learn programming and troubleshooting of different controller types.

3. Certifications

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Any irrigation-related certifications are a plus but not required.

4. Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and digging.
