Accountant

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to become a core part of our client's financial team, overseeing the operations for their expanding portfolio of hotel properties. This is a critical, senior-level role that requires a professional with at least 2 years of experience who not only manages the day-to-day books but also possesses a proactive, detail-oriented mindset—someone who is willing to "dig to the bottom" of any financial inquiry. salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions for a portfolio of 5-6 hotel properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist the Controller with timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close process.
• Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) functions related to the hotel operations.
• Handle non-standard accounting and administrative duties, including preparing and processing RMV applications for company trucks.
• Coordinate and assist with workers' compensation audits.
• Act as a detail-oriented resource to ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and reconcile to underlying documentation.
• Collaborate with the President of Hotels and hotel management teams to provide financial clarity and support.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing use of our new accounting software.
