PreK Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Brockton, MA who is currently seeking a PreK Special Education Teacher to work with students on a contractual basis.

Details of the Position Include:

Start Date: 03/02/2026

Duration: 25/26 school year

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:15am - 2:30pm

· Session 1: 8:15 AM - 10:45 AM Caseload: 7 students

o Midday: Prep period

· Session 2: 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

o Caseload: 6 students

Requirements:

· Mild-Moderate PreK-12 or Severe Disabilities

· 1+ year teaching experience

Description: Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a PreK program! The teacher will be responsible for a caseload of 13 students split into two sessions, with mid-day prep periods.

Pay: $55/ hr

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
