Bright Eyes Needham is looking for a bright, motivated Optical Assistant to join our team. Whether you already have experience in the optical field or are eager to learn, we’re happy to train the right person who is dependable, personable, and excited to help patients see their best.

About the Role
As our Optical Assistant, you’ll help create a positive experience for every patient, from assisting with frame selections to supporting daily office operations. This role combines customer service, attention to detail, and hands-on optical work in a friendly, supportive setting.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable during their visit
- Assist patients in choosing frames and lenses that fit their style, needs, and prescription
- Adjust and repair glasses as needed
- Help with administrative tasks like scheduling and check-in/check-out
- Keep the optical area organized and looking great
- Learn optical skills, lens options, and practice systems (we’ll provide full training)
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, professional, and detail-oriented personality
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with both adults and children
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Experience in optical, retail, or healthcare settings is helpful but not required
- Positive attitude, team mindset, and willingness to learn
