Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Day Shift)

Location: Devens, MA

Type: 5-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, potential for overtime

Pay Rate: $35–$36/hour

Overview:

Veranova, a leading manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking two experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their team at the Devens, MA facility. This is a 5-month contract role with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. The position will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to support manufacturing operations in a GMP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance in a timely manner to ensure compliance with all procedures and GMP guidelines.

• Conduct corrective maintenance on systems and facilities, including equipment repairs, relocations, and general building maintenance.

• Use tools such as wrenches, drills, screwdrivers, clamps, and other hand tools to maintain and repair equipment, including pumps, motors, reactors/vessels, valves, heat exchangers, chillers, and piping.

• Minimize process downtime by assessing equipment condition and recommending repairs or replacements.

• Support facility and equipment needs across departments as required.

• Supervise and coordinate work with outside contractors.

• Ensure all required job-related training is completed on time.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or Associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing) with GMP compliance.

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for mechanical maintenance.

• Ability to work on and troubleshoot mechanical systems including pumps, motors, vessels, valves, heat exchangers, chillers, and piping.

• Experience with CMMS software (Blue Mountain RAM preferred).

• Comfortable wearing a respirator for extended periods.
