Temporary PC Technician
Job Description:
Whalley Computer Associates, Inc is seeking a Temporary PC Technician from May – November. The PC Technician positions are in WCA’s Southwick production facility and offer a wide range of responsibilities including assembling and configuring electronic devices and computers prior to customer deployment. Projects can range from small scale with many technical requirements, to very large scale where efficiency and accuracy are required to stay on schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble electronic devices and technology equipment using various tools
- Image and configure devices prior to deployment to customer locations
- Point of sale equipment, PC’s, laptops, servers, racks, switches, firewalls, printers, scanners, security cameras, wireless devices, and more
- Prepare, package, and ship equipment for optimal out of box customer experience
- Inspect, repair, and clean legacy equipment returned from customer locations
- Follow documented configuration processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and performance targets
Qualifications:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team players with positive attitude
- Technical knowledge and training in computer hardware & operating systems preferred
- Motivated individuals that thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- Great attention to detail and pride in accuracy
- Computer skills of 30 WPM minimum (tested)
- Lifting requirement of 50+ lbs.
- Must be able to pass a background check (signed release needed)
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Salary & Benefits
WCA offers competitive pay rates based on experience and ability. Full time positions include health insurance, dental insurance, paid vacation and personal time, holiday pay, 401K with company match, and long-term disability.
Location : Southwick, MA (WCA Headquarters)
Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
