Mechanical Assembler

About the Role

The Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical assembly tasks. In this role, you will assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in the pulp and paper industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, hands-on mechanical work, and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical or electrical equipment according to specifications
• Perform repairs and adjustments on industrial components
• Interpret and follow mechanical blueprints
• Use basic machining and inspection tools to verify accuracy and quality (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.)
• Apply basic shop mathematics during daily work
• Support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Basic knowledge of shop math
• Ability to use standard machinist inspection tools
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
